Mentoring Our Future Generations
The Bridges of Hope Mentoring Program exists to serve families in designated New Haven housing developments by providing the youth a safe environment for homework, enrichment, and supportive relationships with Christian mentors.
We offer a youth mentoring program for those in grades 1-12 located in two different locations within New Haven. This program is offered every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening from 5pm-7pm.
We are currently accepting applications for the 2022-23 school year. Volunteers commit one night a week for at least a semester, ideally the entire school year. They also agree to attend at least 4 hours of training and orientation in early September and again in January. Mentors will be responsible to communicate regularly with their mentee's parents and teachers.
If you would like to learn more about volunteering as a mentor, please contact our Mentoring Program Director, Kathy Jennings at [email protected] or fill out an initial application below.
